Random Photo: Red Dragon 2

As my internet isn't cooperating with me tonight and I'm struggling to upload the photos and videos that I wanted to post today, I'll just post this instead, and what I wanted to post today, will come tomorrow.
Took this photo back in 2006, and is still one of my favorite dragonfly photos I ever took. Insects in general are such a pain to get a good photo of, one moment they're standing/sitting still, and the next they disappear in the blink of an eye. You basically have to run around with your pants on fire to get any good shot. Of course you can also stand still like a tree and hope they come to you, but that's quite boring so no thanks!
So then, Japanese internet FTW, (very) crappy American internet (which costs an arm and a leg) FTL. More pretty photos coming tomorrow!

the detail on this shot is unbelievable. A part from a bee or two and wicked cool spider I've never been lucky with the bug shots

That looks incredible!
Bugs are a pain in the butt to take picture of but when a photo turns out like this one it is so worth it! I don't mind taking pictures of bugs, but spiders are a totally different story given my arachnophobia. That's when super macro is not my friend. lol
