Mexico 2009 - Night Shoot 1

First night in Mexico, tons of pretty (and drunk) girls everywhere... So what do I do? Why I of course grab my camera and go wondering around the beach at night all by myself! So much more peaceful that way then getting drunk and watching people throw up over themselves... sigh...
Mexico 2009 Part 3 - Day 1

After the check-in, went wondering around the resort for a bit. Just to waste some time until the room was prepared. Above is the entrance to the lobby, the photo is an HDR. Don't really make them too often as it takes a while to process them and make them perfect after you have the photos in-hand. Generally speaking with all the tonemapping etc, take me maybe 2-3 minutes to go from start to finish... So thats 2-3 minutes longer then a regular photo would take me. But anyway, moving on...

Continuing on from Part 1. Finally out of the airport, and on to the street. Holy freaking crap its hot! Then again, what else was I expecting?
Mexico 2009 Part 1 - Travel

From the 4th of July and till the 11th or so, went on a small trip to Mexico. First time I've went there. Asked the acquaintance to drop me off at the airport so the car doesn't have to stand there collecting dust for a week. The current generation Camrys look so much nicer then the old ones I think. Exterior is much improved, the interior however is still very very dull.
Dreams mixed with reality

"Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?" - Morpheus, The Matrix
Really is amazing just how complex of a device the brain is. Especially is amazing just what sorts of impacts some random things have on it... During the last week, I was getting very very little sleep, maybe only half an hour per day - I was basically up for 5 days straight, ouch. Well, actually I'm still awake, kinda, after getting a few hours of sleep last night finally.
It's actually quite interesting how the lack of sleep can completely screw with the said brain... You're walking, walking, sit down for a second, take your phone out, check the email, are listening to people talk around you, you see everything that is happening around you, you look at your phone again, and realize that none of that has happened and you were just completely knocked out for 15 minutes or so, turns out everything you saw and heard was just a dream. And you then sit there confused and wondering if you're still sleeping or have already woke up... What a weird thing the brain is...
So, what is the longest you've been awake for and why?
Back from Mexico

Well, after a week of mia, I'm back it seems! As the title suggests, I spent the last week in Mexico. Got a bit of work done, got a bit of a sunburn on my nose and shoulders, (though my ass is still white), I'd say it was a pretty darn decent week. Only minus is the amount of work I now have to catch up on, but oh well! Also, took a ton of great photos which I can't wait to share with you, I think you'll really love some most of them!
In other news, I'd like to thank Hao for filling in for me (for the most part) for the week that I was away. From the looks of it, most of you guys enjoyed his posts, so don't forget to visit his own site, Instant-Ramen.net.
As always, thanks a bunch of coming here!
After Watering

If an article will be missing for some day, this one will go up in its place. Originally written on 3rd of July by Michael Flux.
Few days ago, as I was watering the flora outside, took some photos. Really, wherever I am, whenever I'm doing anything, I always have my camera with me, just in case. Better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it. Also, a suggestion, whenever you're taking photos of flowers and other plants outside, water them beforehand, water makes everything better.

Guest blogger Hao here =)
As you may have noticed, I've been briefly writing about general topics and impressions I had about Japan. On the fourth day of guest blogging comes Akihabara, land of the otakus, maids, and those looking for all sorts of electronics.

While wondering though a store on the 2nd of July, a day before leaving, took a bunch of photos in that store. No captions, just 31 photos. Enjoy.
Otaku Stuff

Hao again ^^;
Not sure if Michael is an Otaku himself, though we all know that he's really into Apple and Mac stuff. I myself am a devoted Otaku when I have some free time (which seems to be lacking as of lately) and bought some animated films (if you don't recognize them then I think you need to reevaluate your otakuness!), as well as many video games, some of the hotter titles you probably know about (read: Final Fantasy) as well as some manga.
If you're ever in Japan, buying used (the yellow 中古 -- chuuko sticker) otaku stuff will prevent you from shelling so much cash on all the stuff that you want. Japanese folks take really good care of used manga particularly, so don't worry about it. On manga, you can save about 50%, but the amazing part is that older classic games go for peanuts in Japan. If you're as much a Super Famicom / SNES fan as I am, definitely go to Akihabara's Super Potato, you won't regret!
Any otaku's around here? ^^
