First of all, excuse my language. Ok, I knew this was going to suck but still I gave it a chance. After watching it, I have just one question to ask, what the shit did I just see?. This piece of crap not only takes failure to a whole new level, but it completely ruins the whole brand, it really is that awful.
First of all, the acting, the acting was pathetic at best, it felt like I was watching a middle school theater performance all the way though. Then the characters...
Goku looked nothing like what he looked like in the manga.
Chi-Chi while cute, as Guku looked nothing like what she was supposed to.
Yamcha not only acted but also looked like a complete douchebag.
Grandpa Gohan had a painted-on goatee.
Master Roshi as it turns out was a bum...
...living in some abandoned house in the middle of what looked like Hong Kong.
Bulma well, she was hot, so no complaints there.
Finally Piccolo... oh Piccolo, actually before I go, let me pause for a second for the following... hahahahahahaha!. Basically it was little more then some guy with his face painted green wearing a batman chest-plate.
The sets also sucked, for example here, as it turns out when a house is destroyed you're left with a pile of clean and neatly stacked pieces of wood, fresh from your local building equipment store.
The effects effects were as shitty as everything else. For example, what you're looking at, is a Kamehameha Wave. Looks more like smoke coming out of someone's ass.
While on the topic of effects, anyone remember what saiyans looked like in their monkey form? Here's what Goku looked like in the film... the hell?
As I said many times before, I in no way advocate piracy, but in this case... If you're gonna waste your time watching it, at least don't waste your money on this trash. Those who have never seen the anime or read the manga will be confused and wondering wtf did they just see, while those who have been long time fans will also be left scratching their heads at what happened. This has truly been the worst movie I have seen in years. A complete train wreck, both thumbs down, 0 stars etc etc...

For some reason the monkey reminds me of Vin Diesel... I might have to watch it even though I know it's complete crap ^^

you are a brave man to watch this piece of sh*t
for fear of destroying whatever viewing instrument I attempt to watch this on I will refrain from causing undue stress on my heart and shorting my lifespan by 25 hours 23 minutes and 46.2398738964 seconds which includes this film (or whatever part thereof that I manage to watch before going on my destructive rampage through the streets on Kingston and end up being shot by police, the military or a licensed firearm holder and having my body dumped into Kingston Harbour and then becoming attached to a passing ship and dragged to the country where whoever is reading this and ironically being revived by the power of the same dragonballs I am bashing and then live happily ever after.)

Well... I saw the price for watching this movie at a small theatre was CAN$8.95. I thought, that's a better price than watching it at a stadium-seating theatre price at CAN$11.95. Of course I saw this price two days after I watched the downloaded version on my hard drive :P
Bad quality video, which was appropriate for the movie. I managed to watch the whole thing, but the whole time I was just in disgust. Especially Yamcha... I think the way you mention him as "douchebag" is putting it too lightly... I hope I will never have to see this movie ever again, even if it is a better quality video.

@lightningsabre, Well, yeah, I agree that was 'putting it lightly' but I try to keep this site somewhere around a PG rating ^_^ I just pray they won't think of making another one to continue this piece of crap :p
