Continuing right from where we left off yesterday... e-cookies for whoever can name the car model in the photo above.

I wonder how many photos I took of this spiral MODE GAKUEN building. Honestly looks so amazing. Why can't all building look so awesome? Any interesting building around where you live?

Such clean and shiny columns under the highway. ^_^

Around the neighborhood 18 06

Love how the highways crosses on multiple levels.

5th or 6th photo of this construction site already? :p

What I was really surprised to see, is that most gas stations are not self-serve as they are in US. Instead you just pull up and one of the employees instantly runs up to you, asks you what you want, pulls down one of the hoses which are hanging from the ceiling, and starts filling you up. And while doing that, if you want you'll also get your car washed. Obviously costs a bit more then at the self-serve stations, but the convenience... wow :)

A bunch of bikes parked next to some building.

Another gas station with an S-Class Mercedes being washed.

As I was wondering around the city, saw this beauty parked in one garage under a building. Looks so amazing in white, absolutely love how long those headlights are.

The quality of the photo ended up being a bit crappy, but just wanted to show what that fat raccoon looks like during the day. Take a look at my previous post about it, "fat raccoons with large balls".

Waiting to cross the street.

Around the neighborhood 18 15

Still waiting for the light to change.

Around the neighborhood 18 16

Bunch more bikes parked alongside of the street.

Around the neighborhood 18 17

Perfect roads, perfect walls, perfect trees... I honestly just can't find anything wrong with this place :p

And now the Merc is being filled up. Took quite a bit of time to wash it, it looks like. Note how the hose is handing from the ceiling. ^_^

Around the neighborhood 18 19

4 cars parked under some apartment (I think) building. All 4 of them Toyota Priuses.

Around the neighborhood 18 20

Yet another shrine! I wonder how many thousands of them are scattered throughout the city...

Around the neighborhood 18 22

In yesterday's post, Around the neighborhood 17, posted a photo or two with a mix of shiny new buildings mixed with some older ones. This photo I think shows the contrast even better. :p

Around the neighborhood 18 23

Can't even imagine how much cleaning is required to keep the face of the building looking so shiny.

Around the neighborhood 18 24

Here's a challenge for you guys: name all 4 of the car models in the photo above, and if you have a site, you get a promo block for it in the sidebar for a whole month. Any takers? ^_^

Around the neighborhood 18 25

What a nice work car this must be. ^_^

Around the neighborhood 18 26

The Volkswagen Beetle. Damn small car by any standards, but compared to this old Fiat, it looks like a tank...

Around the neighborhood 18 27

Seriously, just look at how amazingly tiny this thing is. Though I do wonder, with it being so tiny, and with such a small engine, why doesn't it fall into the 'kei car' category - if it did, it would have one of those yellow license plates, but this, looks like its considered to be regular car... weird. Maybe the emissions are too high? Either way, cute little thing.

The rambling about the cars continue...Gr8!

The skyscraper is amazing. The glitz simply surprises me... No idea how they can maintain shining exterior. This should be the million $ question Michael rather than asking about the car models :P

    Michael Flux

@Moign Khawaja, Well, that is probably what they spend annually on cleaning it :p

  2. Tibul

Love the hoses hanging from the ceiling never seen them like that before.

    Michael Flux

@Tibul, Yeah, was pretty surprised also - never seen anything like this in US :p

  3. Tomakun

Here's my guess for the 4 in a row picture, from left to right : Crossroad, Prius, Civic, Forester.

    Michael Flux

    @Tomakun, Correct/wrong/wrong/correct :p

    Wanna try again? :p

  4. Martian

The first car is the Toyota Duet.

    Michael Flux

    @Martian, Yup :p

Wanna have a go at the 4 in a row?

  5. Heferkimbo

Going to a gas station to fill you tank in japan is something i couldn't believe, the service was incredible, nothing compared to the crappy service they provide in mexico...

I think the raccon with large balls isnt a raccon, it is actually a tanuki ... if you guys like anime, then you cant miss the chance to see Studio Ghibli's Pom Poko, not the best movie from studio Ghibli, but its very funny and it has nice plot.

    Michael Flux

@Heferkimbo, Well yeah, but its close enough to a raccoon and calling it that, more people will understand what you're talking about ^_^

  6. Smithy

That white one is the Nissan GTR, right? Looks smashing. ^^

The New Beetle is actually a pretty big and bulky car, by trying to copy the original -and only true real- Beetle's shape, ended up wasting a lot of space that you do have in the same base chassis generation Golf IV.

The new Fiat 500 is actually a much better copy or retake on the original, like BMW's Mini, sure they're bigger and all but they retain more of their original ancestor's looks and feel than the New Beetle.

    Michael Flux

@Smithy, Yup indeed it is an R35 ^_^

And yes, all that silly safety crap wasting so much space! ^_~

But yeah, the new Fiat is absolutely gorgeous :)
