How I Got Started

Hi all, Santa here again, just a post for you all about how I got started with animal rescue. Before I start, just wanted to say, sorry neither of us have been posting in a while, just been really busy school, work, and everything else, also sorry for some of the photos being of bad quality, had to dig them up from an old camera, online, and old printed photos. Anyways, back to the post.
Have a great Thanksgiving

Just wanted to say, hope you all have a great Thanksgiving this year, and I would like this opportunity to say thanks to all for sticking with me for so long and hopefully for much longer to come. ^_^; Enjoy your turkeys or whatever you eat, I think I'll just have some ice cream or something along those lines.

As much as I love all breeds of cats, my favorite breed has always been the 'Sphynx'. Not even sure what is it particularly about this breed, but they are just so damn awesome all around. Not only are they alot warmer to the touch then most other cats, but they are a lot more cuddly since they try to rub against anything warm to keep themselves from freezing. If between Santa and I we didn't already have 3 cats, I would just so damn love to get a Sphynx (or maybe even a couple of them).
Oh and by the way, the Sphynx on my back in the photo above belongs to one of the vets at a local animal clinic and is always just roaming throughout the office. What about you guys? Any of you here cat lovers? And if so, how many feline friends do you have and what breeds are they?

It really is true what they say, the way to a person's heart is though their mouth. Here's a few fun facts for you guys... Fact number one, I do quite love cooking. Then again chances are many of you already knew that one. Now, fact number two, if you want to impress your partner's parents, make them dinner, the mother figure especially will be most impressed and will instantly love you and approve of you completely.
Above, scrambled eggs, baked meat, toasted bread, some ketchup-ish stuff in the middle, altogether took maybe half an hour to prepare. Oh and how about I add just one more fun fact... Fun fact number three, presentation is everything. That is to say you can make the most delicious thing in the world, but if you just throw it on a plate and it looks like a pile of crap then it won't be appetizing at all, but on the other hand if it looks good, then even if its not perfect in terms of taste, it'll still be appreciated tons more.
What about you guys and girls? Any of you like cooking and/or have ever cooked for your significant other's parents? What were the results in your case?
Justice for Rocky

Hi everyone, Santa here. Just a small post about something that I felt was important and need to be shared. This post is a small story about a wonderful dog named Rocky, and the irreversible injustice that has happened to him.
Just a bit of background; Paws for Life Rescue and Adoption (the organization I volunteer with), rescued Rocky back in May of 2009. His owner that had him ever since he was a pup first lost his job, and then his home to foreclosure. At that point he surrendered Rocky and another dog, along with two cats to Paws for Life. Following standard procedures Rocky like all dogs that come into the rescue had a temperament test, which he passed with flying colours. We had no problems with him whatsoever, all he wanted to do was play, cuddle, and get his belly rubbed. He was a healthy and happy dog who was really just a big loving goofball, never had any problems with anyone; all he wanted was a real home.
Hello all, Santa here!

Hello all, my name is Santa and I will be posting on here along with our dear Mr. Michael Flux. =) As some of you may or may not know, yes I am his girlfriend. So he decided to have me help out with posting on the site. Figured may as well introduce myself. :p
Don’t really have too much to say about myself, mainly love to draw a bit in my spare time- which lately I seemed to have none of. Also enjoy writing, or at least did over the summer. Now the only writing I do is for school, with the exception of this of course. Also love animals very much. I volunteer with a wonderful animal rescue from Michigan called Paws for Life Rescue and Adoption. I’ve been with Paws for Life since they started out sometime around November 2007. In that time the rescue has managed to save the lives of countless dogs and cats, and I did my best to play a part in that. The area in which I live has far too many stray cats, and over the past two years, the number of cats that came through the rescue thanks to me and my younger cousin is somewhere around 80-90.
Christmas has come early this year it seems

As most all of you may have noticed, lately I've been failing to keep my promise of making at least one post every day. Reason for that is simply that I was busy as hell with well, everything. School, animal rescue, life, work (at least during the little time I had) and well, since obviously this site is not bringing in any money (since for now at least I chose not to whore it out to ads), all of this has been placed on the burner at the very very back of a large restaurant-sized stove. Obviously I love this site, I love everything about it and of course I don't want to let it die.
To save this site and to keep you all coming back time and time again, I have devised an ingenious plan! I created a time machine, went a few months into the future and I have come back with none other then Santa Claus Flux!.
So now, what will the lovely and talented miss Flux be doing here you may all be wondering. Honestly, I don't have the slightest clue. From what I hear she likes all sorts of critters, and chances are will be posting about them or something or other along those lines. Her first post is scheduled to go up in an hour or two, and I promise to be as surprised as you are, I honestly still haven't read it.
Holy shit, my heart is still beating!

Seems like with the exception of me visiting once every few days to delete thousands of pieces of spam, I haven't really been around these parts much. So just a quick post before I go to sleep to update you all on my status. Have been very very busy over the last few months, hence me not really having time for any of this. Between school, animal rescue, love wuv, work, more work, sleep, eating, sleeping, eating and something or other else, well, quite literally I came home anywhere, crashed on any random bed and fell asleep. Also, somewhat off topic, but do try taking a 3-4 hour long shower sometime - quite wonderful, right up until the moment where your hands start turning into old-people hands and such.
I think over the next few days I'm going to find some time to finish publishing the last few Japan posts which have been sitting in queue here for months now, and then have to pull 40-50 other posts outta my ass brain (the one in the head (the one on my shoulders)) to fill to empty days.
Finally, if anyone at all cares, the photo above, is of my new kitteh. Named him Aeon. Will make a post about him in a few days with the full story. A bit of a shame about the name though... I mean chances are he'll be around for another 20 years and well, I kinda wanted to name a child of mine Aeon so yeah, that name is kinda taken now... Anyone have any other awesome sounding names for kids? - and to answer any questions, no, no kids are coming any time soon, I just like to plan ahead. ^_^

After all the tunnels, we get to the coast. Looking outward to the sea across which, somewhere, far far away, is North Korea. Lots of rocks, lots of rumbling water, anyone wants go for a swim in a place like this? ~_^
Tunnels

To fill the day, here's just a few random photos of tunnels going though mountains as I was traveling from Nagoya to the the northern (or western?) coast of Japan. And now off to sleep.
